What Hume Health states, and what it currently charges

Hume does not publish a Supplement-Facts-style spec sheet, since this is an electronic device, not an ingestible product. The table below reflects what its own landing page states, read directly from humehealth.com on Sep 29, 2026 [1].

The same landing page also displays a rolling "Next Batch Ships" widget beneath the buy button, showing three dates at once: March 20th listed as "100% Full," September 30th as "70% Full," and April 22nd as "0% Full" [1]. Those three dates are not in chronological order on the page, which reads to us as a page layout choice rather than a live production or inventory count we can verify, so we would not read the fill percentages as real-time stock information.

Pricing for the optional 10-year warranty upsell was also inconsistent within the same page load: one widget on the page lists it at $35, marked down from $69, while a separate pop-up further down the same page describes "the 10-Year Warranty at checkout for $46, or pay the full $70 if you decide to add it later" [1]. We saw both figures on the identical page on the same visit; we do not know which one applies at actual checkout.

The guarantee: marketing page versus policy page

Hume Health states its refund terms in two different places on its own site, and they do not describe the same policy.

Under a full-satisfaction banner, Hume's product page states:

Read together, the two pages describe different processes: one where any used, opened band qualifies for a full refund inside 45 days, and one where the same band has to come back in its original packaging and like-new condition, bought directly from Hume, with the customer paying return shipping unless Hume's own support process agrees it was defective. We did not attempt a return ourselves to see which version Hume actually honors; we are only pointing out that the marketing line and the policy line, both live on Hume's site the same day, do not match.

The company behind the band

Hume Band 2.0 and the Hume Body Pod are sold by the same corporate parent. Hume Health holds an F rating on the Better Business Bureau's profile for the business in Sanborn, New York, a file BBB shows as opened June 30, 2025. Of 349 complaints BBB lists as closed in the last three years, 291 are logged specifically as "Failure to respond to complaint(s)," and BBB's rating reasons state the business has failed to resolve the underlying pattern behind them [3]. We checked this profile directly on Sep 29, 2026; a separate BBB file exists for a related "Hume Health LLC" entity in Wilmington, Delaware, listed under a different business category, and we are not citing complaint figures from that separate file here.

We could not find a physical address for Hume Health on its homepage, its product pages, its About page, or its Contact page. The only address disclosed anywhere on the site that we could locate appears in Section 25 ("Contact Us") of Hume's Terms of Service:

Public business directories show that same building, 8 The Green in Dover, is shared by multiple Delaware registered-agent and company-formation services operating out of different suites — the kind of address a company lists to satisfy a legal-notice requirement, not necessarily where anyone answering support email actually works [5]. We are not asserting Hume has no real office; we are reporting that we could not find one stated anywhere on its own site.

Separately, in a section of its site describing an internal analysis of its body-composition products, Hume Health discloses its own research standard in language we think is worth quoting directly, since it is the most specific statement about evidence quality we found anywhere on the company's pages:

That disclosure concerns Hume's in-house evaluation of the Body Pod and its companion app, not the Band specifically, and we're citing it here as the clearest window we found into how the company describes its own evidence. No comparable disclosure sits next to the Band's "best-in-class accuracy" line.

Where we point instead: a body-composition tracker with more accountability behind it

We are not linking to a Hume Band checkout from this page. With the BBB record and the gaps above on the table, sending readers to that checkout is not something we are willing to do. If body-composition tracking is the actual goal, the option below comes from a manufacturer with a longer public history and products that have been through outside regulatory review.

Withings Body Smart is a step-on smart scale. Its Amazon listing describes weight plus bioelectrical-impedance estimates of body fat, body water, muscle and bone mass, a visceral-fat index and a heart-rate reading at each weigh-in, with results sent over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to the Withings app and separate profiles for several people in one household [6]. You stand on it rather than wear it, so it is a different form factor from Hume's band; we chose it because it serves the same body-composition goal and comes from a maker whose product claims face more outside scrutiny.

Withings, based in France, has been selling connected health hardware since the late 2000s. Some of its other products, an ECG-capable watch and a blood-pressure cuff among them, have been through FDA clearance as medical devices; the Body Smart scale itself is a consumer wellness product, is not a cleared medical device, and we are not suggesting otherwise. The point is narrower: a company that has put products in front of an outside regulator shows a kind of accountability that Hume Health, which publishes no operating address we could find, does not.

Amazon showed the Withings Body Smart in white, the variant our link points to, at $129.95 in its buy box and listed as in stock on Sep 29, 2026 [6]. A black version sits on the same listing under a separate ASIN and may be priced differently. Amazon prices and stock status change without notice, so view that figure as a snapshot, not a current quote.

Does Hume Band 2.0 actually measure blood pressure?

Hume's own materials describe "blood pressure trends," not a direct blood-pressure reading, and name no independent validation study specific to the Band for that trend estimate.

Why doesn't this page link to a Hume Band checkout?

Because of the BBB complaint record laid out above and the absence of any independently published accuracy data for the device, we decided against sending readers to that checkout. This page is informational; its single purchase link goes to the Amazon alternative described above.

Is the Delaware address in Hume's Terms of Service a real office?

We can't say either way. We can say it is not stated anywhere on Hume's product, About or contact pages, and that the building it names is shared by several Delaware registered-agent and company-formation businesses, according to public directory listings, which is typical of a legal mailing address rather than an operating office.

Are Hume Band 2.0 and Hume Body Pod made by the same company?

Yes. Both are sold by Hume Health, and the Terms of Service naming Hume Health Corp. as the contracting entity apply to both products.

What would I get with the Withings alternative instead?

A step-on smart scale rather than a wrist band. It weighs you and estimates body fat, water, muscle and bone mass, and its maker, Withings, has other products that have gone through FDA clearance (the scale itself is not one of them). It does not replicate every feature Hume markets, and it cannot track anything continuously on your wrist; it is simply the option we found for the body-composition goal with the most verifiable company behind it.
